Mr. Pathak was born on 24 Jan, 1968 in Karala a village in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. He completed his basic education from berinag and bageshwar govt. college.
Mr. Pathak was a scholar since his school days and hence he decided to pursue B.Sc. from government degree college berinag in 1986.
This was the time when Uttarakhand Movement was initiated. He was very inspired with the rising revolt for the state led by Shri. Kashi Singh Airy & Dr. D. D. Pant and he too started working with them for the cause.
Due to some uncertain circumstances and his love towards technologies, he dropped out B.Sc. and went to Lucknow. After an year of coaching & dedicated hardwork Mr. Pathak got selected for some prestigious engineering institutions like of Pantnagar, Roorkee and Dehradun. Being in the middle of the movement he refrained from joining Roorkee and Pantnagar.
He graduated from government polytechnic college, Dehradun in 1991 with a diploma in civil engineering.
In 1991 itself after completing his civil engineering, he joined ONGC in MP as a surveyer. He left the job after working for few months and moved to Uttaranchal in 1992, joined Uttarakhand Kranti Dal and started working with Century Pulp & Paper Mill, Lalkua as a Supervisor, Junior Engineer. During this period, he led many state movements and actively took part in Nainital Commissioner Gherao, Jail Bharo movement. After these movements he left the job and moved to Lucknow. There he joined LD Joshi and company as a civil engineer. He handled many Hydro-Projects and Telco projects for them. later in 1995, Mr. Pathak joined hydro-worth development corporation as a Project Manager. In 1997, Mr. Pathak started his own firm to provide employment within the state by the name of HQT engineering and services. Starting with contractual projects, the firm rose to one of the best firms in UttarPradesh with A+ certificate under the leadership of Mr. Pathak. The firm completed 2*50KW toli,kapkote,ghes,waan,rotan and lamchula. He aslo designed micro hydle projects, powerhouses under Jal-Vidhyut Pariyojna, completed NHPC building construction projects in dharchula,survey and design report of 3 projects of 3MW in Tehri District, design of primary report and identification for micro hydle projects in pithoragarh and chamoli, Asiganga 1,2,3 and pilangad detailed survey report of jal vidhyut pariyojana in Uttarakashi, kalpeshwar, setel, sharma kanol,waan, ghes, bhagh, guladi, milkhet, choting micro hydel project detail design and survey report and some other major projects. The firm provided a major financial support to Uttarakhand kranti dal for Uttarakhand Movement. The Last project of firm Kurmanchal Community Center, after which due to serious health issues, which arised due to participating in peaceful protests, Mr. Pathak stopped taking projects and decided to continue with social service.
Mr. Pathak has been serving UKD since 1992. He has been holding major positions since the inception. Presently serving as Central Executive President of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, he is continuously working for the growth of the organization. He constituted for MLA elections in 2009 and 2012 consecutively but, unfortunately lost from Kapkote, Bageshwar, Uttarakhand.He visited all the areas of his constituency, whether it was accessible or inaccessible, all the roads, villages and went door to door listening to public problems and redressing them. Even today, he is directly or indirectly connected to the public. Because of this, his image in the public is that of a clean, simplistic and compulsive practical leader and a social activist.
